Markethill Manor is very much a family home for its Service Users. This is your home, where you can rest assured of safety and comfort. Our objectives are to support our Service Users in enjoying life and in maintaining their dignity, independence and individuality. To these ends, Markethill Manor operates with transparency and welcomes the involvement of the wider community Markethill Manor is the place ‘where I live’ and offers the facilities we all expect from our own homes these days to support people with learning disabilities or mental health issues. Markethill Manor is situated on the Main Street, Markethill, a rural town with a variety of shops and cafes. The front of the Home leads onto the Main Street allowing the Service Users the opportunity to enjoy the buzz and entertainment which is ongoing in the town.There is a post office, dentist, health centre, pharmacists, pubs, ‘eating out’ places and churches within walking distance. There is currently capacity for 21 Service Users within Markethill Manor. All Service Users’ bedrooms are fitted with call units, as are all bathrooms, toilets and communal areas. There are two self-contained studios (kitchenette, bedroom and en-suite) on the lower ground floor leading directly to the car park and garden as well as a door in each studio linked to the main building. This facility affords Service Users the opportunity to be prepared for independent living in a safe environment.
